Our Meetings
Our Sunday meetings are about 90 minutes long. While the format varies from week to week, there are a few things we do consistently. We worship Jesus through songs, celebrate Jesus with communion, learn from Jesus through the Scriptures, and go to Jesus in prayer. We also practice and benefit from a variety of spiritual gifts as we do these things together. Mostly, we expect to encounter God every time we meet, and the fellowship we experience along the way is pretty sweet.
We hope our Sunday gatherings reflect our enthusiasm for Jesus and his cause and our commitment to building communities where lives are radically transformed by grace. And we hope to experience these things on Sunday, because this is the kind of community we are aspiring to be every day of the week.
Meeting Time
We gather on Sunday mornings at 10 AM in-person (at 5200 E. 32nd Street) and online (via our Youtube channel).
Ministry to Children
We offer nurseries and classes for infants through Grade 5 on Sunday mornings. Our nursery is open for the duration of the meetings, and our classes for kids begin after worship and right before the teaching for adults. You can read more about Christ’s Kids here.
Children of all ages are also welcome to stay for the whole meeting. In offering classes for children, our objective is not to send them off to their own section of the building, far away from where the “real” discipleship is happening. Actually, the end goal of our children’s ministry is to train kids to worship, learn, and serve with the whole body. So, when children want to stay with their parents for the entire meeting, we’re thrilled!
